Η DroidLife περιοδικό τεχνολογίας έχει αναρτήσει στο YouTube ένα βίντεο από τη νέα έκδοση του Google Play Store 4. Η νέα έκδοση είναι ευκολότερη και με νέα χρώματα. Το Google Play Store 4 θα παρουσιαστεί κατα πασα πιθανότητα στα μέσα Μαΐου στο συνέδριο προγραμματιστών της Google I / O.

Ξεκίνησε η διάθεση της επανασχεδιασμένης έκδοσης Google Play 4.0 για συσκευές Android. Yποστηρίζει smartphones και tablets που τρέχουν Android 2.2 και πάνω, και μέσα στις επόμενες εβδομάδες θα έχει ολοκληρωθεί η λήψη απο όλες τις υποστηριζόμενες συσκευές.

Αλλαγή στην πολιτική του Play Store της Google με την αναβάθμιση του playstore στην έκδοση v4.0.27

H Google κυκλοφόρησε πρόσφατα την νέα ενημερωμένη έκδοση του Play Store 4.0.27, η οποία περιλαμβάνει μια ουσιώδη αλλαγή που αφορά την πολιτική του ηλεκτρονικού της καταστήματος. Με την συγκεκριμένη ενημέρωση, η Google θέτει οριστικό τέλος στην αναβάθμιση των εφαρμογών<…>

μέσω άλλων πηγών, και οι οποίες θα πρέπει πλέον να γίνονται αποκλειστικά μέσω του Play Store.

Σύμφωνα με την νέα πολιτική απορρήτου του Google Play, οι εφαρμογές δεν θα είναι σε θέση να τροποποιούν, αντικαθιστούν ή αναβαθμίζουν τον κώδικα τους, αν δεν χρησιμοποιήσουν τον μηχανισμό αναβάθμισης του Google Play.
Το μέτρο αυτό αποσκοπεί στην ασφάλεια των χρηστών του ηλεκτρονικού καταστήματος καθώς και στην αποφυγή εγκατάστασης και διάδοσης λογισμικού malware μέσω των εφαρμογών.

Με την ενημέρωση στην τελευταία έκδοση 4.1.10 η google θέλει να λύσει ένα πρόβλημα το οποίο παρουσιάστηκε με την προηγουμένη έκδοση σε ορισμένες συσκευές με την υπερβολική κατανάλωση της μπαταρίας.

A couple of hours ago, the Android 4.3 system dump was leaked for the Nexus 4, and while I was digging through it, I found that it contained an updated Play Store, version 4.2.3. The latest Play Store currently used by Google is 4.1.10.

What's New?

I've looked through it, and from what I can tell, it has some sort of additions related to the new functionality for restricting user access to Google Play. I suspect this is used in multi-user situations, where the primary user doesn't want secondary ones to be able to install things, but I haven't been able to confirm it just yet on the Nexus 7. Maybe there is a new menu that shows up in Android 4.3...

There is a new Activity called com.google.android.finsky.activities.AccessRestric tedActivity. There is a related new string:

You don't have permission to use Google Play Store.

What's New?

ersion 4.2.3 already paved the way and gave us a clue that restricted accounts would be coming - a fact that was confirmed as a big new feature in 4.3 yesterday. 4.2.9 seems to be an even more minor release, with several new image assets, a few new strings, and supposedly some minimal UI changes to the widgets (the word hotseat comes up a lot). Neither Ron nor I were able to discern the differences in any of the widgets, however. Again, this is really minor stuff here. Νew app release of Google Play Store is now available for download for the users of Android smartphones and tablets, it is named version 4.3.11. The new version comes as a minor update over its predecessor 4.3.10 Version, also it brings along some of the small bug fixes without the “Invalid Package File” error, and also it comes with a series of required improvements.
The new release updated plural translations for numerous locales including bg, es-rUS, fr, id, in, ja, ko, ms, pt, pt-rPT, ro, ru, sk, sl, th, tl, tr, vi, zh-rCN
Moreover, the new Google Play Store versioncomes with minor changes to the SearchAdapter and PlayTabContainer, supposedly bug fixes for item counts, query suggestions, and layout width.
As I said before, the new 4.3.11 is only a minor update to 4.3.10 and most probably the Android-based devices will be served with another update for the app soon, one that the new one will resolve the bugs, and it will comes with new features.

The Google Play Store serves as your gateway to Android applications, books, multi-media, news, and much more. There’s a big update coming that you can get before those molasses-slow updates begin to trickle down to your devices. This new version of the Google Play Store brings plenty of new features, including:


Batch install
Require password option
Settings and help moved to slide out navigation
Force Play Store self update
In-app purchase warning
Google +1 now accurate
Numerous minor tweaks

Some of these features/updates do not require explanation, but others do. Let’s take a look at the major highlights.
Batch install This is a really nice feature. However, if you’re thinking that you'll be able to hop on over the Google Play Store and batch install any number of apps, you’re on the wrong track. What this feature does is allow you to quickly install any of the apps from your All list on a new device associated with your Google account. Here's how it works:


After you buy a new Android device, associate the new device with your Google account
On the new device, open the Google Play Store
Tap the overflow menu (three horizontal lines in the top left corner)
Tap My Apps
Tap the All tab
Select all the apps to install by long-pressing the listing until it turns gray (Figure A)
Tap Install
Tap Accept
Allow the installation(s) to complete

Require password An in-app purchase (IAP) is simple — you’re using an app, and the developers of the app have another related app that they want you to purchase. Prior to the latest update of the Google Play Store, if that app had a price, it could be purchased without having to enter a password for your Google Play Store account. This was not acceptable, so Google changed it. Now, you can set up the Google Play Store to always require a password for in-app purchases. To do this, follow these steps:


Open the Google Play Store
Tap the overflow menu
Tap Settings
Scroll down to Require password for purchases
Select For all purchases through Google Play on this device (Figure B)
Enter your Google Play Store password
Tap OK

Along with this, you'll now see whether or not the app contains IAPs in the App permissions warning screen (Figure C). That way, you can choose to not install the app based on the new information.

Play Store self update Strangely enough, the Google Play Store didn’t always update itself (even when a new version was available). The new version fixes that issue. Go to the Google Play Store | Settings and tap Build version. A popup should now appear, indicating that your version of Google Play Store is up to date. Prior to this update, it was hit and miss if Google Play Store would update.
How to get and install the latest version As of this writing, the newest version of the Google Play Store (4.6.16) isn’t available via update. You can, however, get it. Here’s how:
Note: First, you have to enable Unknown sources on your device. Go to Settings | Security, and tap Unknown sources to enable.

Earlier today, Google announced that it was finally bringing PayPal payments to Google Play (http://www.droid-life.com/2014/05/15/paypal-finally-becomes-a-payment-option-in-google-play/) purchases of apps and other media in a new update to Google Play. That update is slowly, but surely rolling out, which means you can sideload the apk this very minute if you would like to.
We should point out that the update isn’t only bringing PayPal support. Google has fine-tuned the appearance of the app in general, by including bigger buttons on app pages, changing up hero pages with bigger imagery and subtle animations, making the permissions pop-up much easier to read, and changing things like the review pop-up for the better.
The update is v4.8.19. It should install right over the top of your current Google Play build. Enjoy!
