Moto X απο την Motorola

Το συνέδριο AllThingsD επέλεξε η Motorola για να δώσει τις πρώτες πληροφορίες για το φημολογούμενο Moto X, το πρώτο smartphone σε συνεργασία με τη Google μετά την εξαγορά η οποία ολοκληρώθηκε πριν από αρκετό καιρό.

Επιβεβαιώνοντας πλήρως την ύπαρξη του, ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Motorola έδωσε κάποιες πρώτες πληροφορίες γύρω από αυτό. Αρχικά το Moto X θα διαθέτει οθόνη OLED και θα κατασκευάζεται στην Αμερική και πιο συγκεκριμένα στο Texas ενώ μερικά από τα εξαρτήματα του θα προέρχονται και αυτά από την Αμερική.

Σχεδιασμένο για να αναμετρηθεί επί ίσοις όροις με το iPhone και τη σειρά Galaxy της Samsung, ένας από τους τομείς που έχει δώσει έμφαση η Motorla είναι το δίπτυχο υψηλής ποιότητας η οποία θα συνοδεύεται με χαμηλή τιμή.

O Dennis Woodside ανέφερε επίσης ότι στις συζητήσεις που έχει κάνει με τον πρόεδρο της Google, τον Larry Page, έχει δοθεί ιδιαίτερο βάρος στην αυτονομία της συσκευής. Επιπλέον το Moto X θα είναι «γεμάτο αισθητήρες» έτσι ώστε να γνωρίζει πότε είναι στη τσέπη σας και πότε στο χέρι σας. Ακόμα θα γνωρίζει πότε θέλετε να πραγματοποιήσετε λήψη φωτογραφίας ή βίντεο για έτσι ώστε να ενεργοποιήσει την κάμερα ενώ μόλις αντιληφθεί ότι είστε στο αυτοκίνητο, θα προτείνει διαφορετικό τρόπο χειρισμού.

Το Moto X αναμένεται μέσα στο έτος και κατά πάσα πιθανότητα τον Οκτώβριο, λίγο μετά την παρουσίαση του επόμενου iPhone από την Apple.

Today at the AllThingsD conference Dennis Woodside revealed how we are reinventing Motorola through a portfolio of products starting with Moto X, a new flagship smartphone that will be designed, engineered and assembled in the USA. We’re not talking about just a handful of units either -- available this summer, every Moto X sold in the USA will be assembled in Fort Worth, Texas, making it the first smartphone ever assembled domestically.

There were a few reasons why we decided to do this. There are several business advantages to having our Illinois and California-based designers and engineers much closer to our factory. For instance, we’ll be able to iterate on design much faster, create a leaner supply chain, respond much more quickly to purchasing trends and demands, and deliver devices to people here much more quickly. And as a part of Google we’re being encouraged to take big bets on things that make a difference.

We still have a network of global operations, and that won’t change. Our global manufacturing partner remains Flextronics and we’ll continue to assemble devices locally in China and Brazil.
